Modern house design

On the slopes of the Avala mountain, just south of Belgrade in Serbia is the site for this modern house. Our design focused on creating covered external verandas while at the same time protecting the interiors from the cold European winters. Large overhangs provide shading into the building while at the same time creating an external balcony with a stunning view of the rolling hills and forrests below.

The living areas are all located downstairs, together with a sauna and shower for the external pool. The bedrooms and more private areas are all located upstairs providing of the scenery. The distinction is emphasised through different materialisation of the facade on the ground floor and upstairs; where the house is in contact with the soil light stone cladding is applied while above wood is used.
